Paws and Wings professionally grooms all sizes of birds and parrots. We groom your birds in our home, as a part-time business. With over 30 years experience, we guarantee your satisfaction.
WE ARE A HOME BASED BUSINESS. ALL PARROTS ENTERING OUR HOME FOR GROOMING MUST BE CRATED. Please do not bring your bird on your shoulder or loose. Birds who are not caged, crated, or leashed, will be turned away. If you insist on bringing your bird loose, you will be held accountable for any accident that may happen.
We have been breeding and showing our birds for decades and guarantee your bird will look just as good. This being said, please note there is no such thing as a "show clip". ALL show birds are fully flighted.
We can help keep your birds beak deformities under control with regular grooming. Beak deformities are not a one-time fix. Please note most of these issues are ongoing and can often not be permanently fixed without a very expensive veterinary surgical procedure. Beak deformities are often caused by genetics, hand-feeding, malnutrition and/or lack of toys.

How do you know when your parrot needs to be groomed?
Does your parrot have a "smile"? When their beaks are closed, is there a gap on either side?
This is an indication that your birds lower mandible is over grown, and needs grooming. Your parrot should be able to completely close his beak.

Are you afraid your parrot is going to escape, and would like him to be grounded?
We do wing trimming. This procedure is not painful, and is a great training tool for young birds. Wing trimming prevents your bird from escaping, or bumping into a window or mirror.
We can do full or partial clips. A full clip will keep your parrot completely grounded. A partial clip lets them glide to the ground, rather than falling. Please note in smaller birds, such as cockatiels a full wing trim may not keep them fully grounded. This is a result of their strong wing muscles.

Are your birds nails curling? Are their sores on his/her feet?
These are just a couple signs that your birds nails are overgrown.
Sores on their feet can also be a sign of inappropriate perches.
Please feel free to ask us what you can do for your bird.

We are now offering treatment for Scaly Face & Feet for birds.
Scaly Face is a mite that mostly small birds, especially budgies are susceptible too. It looks like scale build up on the beak near the ceres, and spreads down the beak (causing overgrowth) and to the feet. The Scaly Face/Feet mite is extremely painful, and if not treated as soon as possible, can and will cause death.
Seeing a veterinarian for this can be very expensive. We are now treating this illness. We use sterile equipment that are disposed of after the treatment of each bird. Usually only one treatment is needed, however in extreme cases your bird may need 2-3 treatments. We are more than happy to guide you through the recovery process.
This Budgie above, needed scaly face treatment from Paws & Wings, as well as a beak trim. He was very skinny, as his overgrown beak was causing him to have difficulty eating.
